More about me . . .
Sophie Titchen - Owner & Trainer
I’m Sophie and I’ve been into all things dogs since I can remember but got into training when I got my Labrador, Daphne, who is now nearly four.
I spent a year shadowing my trainer while studying for my PACT Canine Training Instructor course and then began to teach for myself. Before this I studied an Animal Care and then an extended Animal Management course at college and feel as though all of that has lead to this point where I’m now going it alone - so to speak.
I am an accredited PACT trainer https://www.pact-dogs.com/find-a-trainer and am registered on the ABTC ATI register. This means that through my training I follow their codes of practice, which you can find out more about on their websites.
More about my dogs - I work my Lab on a small friendly pheasant shoot as she has, since 2021, got me into Gundog training. You’ll also often see me with a Springer Spaniel, Boo, who I’m hoping to take onto the shoot this coming season. Gundog breeds are my passion but I love to give every dog, and their owner, no matter their age or breed the best chance at success and most importantly teach them how to have fun while training!
I sometimes have a foster dog on my team as well! Fostering consists of looking after dogs that will be going up for adoption, assessing them and doing any bits of training that I think will help them along the way.
How we differ from other dog trainers . . .
We train outside in the real world with the distraction of the environment rather than in a barn, village hall or other indoor venue where it’s all well and good training your dogs but if you can’t then apply that training to the distractions of daily life it’s not been worth your valuable time, effort and money.
